52,500 people turned up to the Ricardo Tormo race circuit in Valencia to show their support for the GP2 races and show Mr Ecclestone that we should host formula 1 races also.

Although the Cheste race circuit would need modifications to compete with other existing circuits, such as more overtaking areas, faster straights and wider pit lanes, the Valencian community would be willing to spend the estimated 20 million euros necessary.

Mr Ecclestone, suggested that mooring for super yachts would be required but with the Americas cup being hosted in 2007, Valencia seems to be the perfect place especially when the airport (which is currently been extended) is only a mere 15 minutes from the track.

Finally, he also described it as "the best kept secret in the world," stating that the Ricardo Tormo circuit at Cheste would be allowed to play host to Formula One racing.
