Valencia - Possible site for new UN Logistical Base

Francisco Camps, the political party leader for the PP in Valencia, announced in Brussels that he accepted the proposal to present Manises as a possible future base for United Nations peace forces.

Mr Camps added that he had been given an "in-depth" presentation of the project and that the enlargement of the Manises airport had been taken into consideration.

Mr Moratinos, the Foreign Affairs minister and member of the opposing party, thanked Mr Camps for his support and collaboration, and apologised for not warning Mr Camps before proposing Manises as a candidate, adding that it was "geographically and geopolitically" the perfect site and added that he was "delighted that we can all work together to ensure the success of the project."
